Led by Hoosiers across the state, Solar Opportunities Indiana (SOI) will provide access to solar-powered, ~~affordable~~ clean energy for eligible Indiana households and communities.

Throughout Indiana, Solar Opportunities Indiana (SOI) will provide education and outreach regarding solar installation and, for eligible households, reduce or eliminate upfront costs and financing gaps. As programming is rolled out across the state, SOI will also support education and training pathways, workforce development, and opportunities for small businesses.

Funded through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Solar for All program, SOI programming and projects will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other air pollution, deliver cost savings on electric bills for overburdened households, and unlock new markets for distributed solar in Indiana.

Coalition Members

Consisting of municipalities, advocacy groups, post-secondary institutions, faith-based organizations, and renewable energy experts, SOI will deliver a transformative solar financing and access program for households in Indiana's low-income and disadvantaged communities.
